Compass Draft publishes travel guides based on trips we have taken. They are written to be useful, not to be authoritative on your particular circumstances, and this page explains where that line falls.

1. Travel information goes stale

Fares, opening hours, transit passes, museum closures, entry requirements and safety conditions change constantly, and several of them depend on your nationality, your route and the season. We check the details that can change against official sources before publishing and again when we revisit a piece, but we cannot promise that everything on this site is current at the moment you read it. Before you book or travel, confirm anything that matters with the operator, the museum, the embassy or your government's travel advisory.

2. Not professional advice

Nothing here is legal, immigration, medical, insurance or tax advice. Articles that touch on visas, vaccinations, travel insurance or long-stay tax questions are written from a traveller's experience and are no substitute for a qualified professional or the relevant official authority. Decisions you make from reading this site are your own, and Compass Draft is not liable for loss, cost, injury or inconvenience arising from them.
